Little Slugger

Enjoying some ice cream after the last game!

How fun it has been to see Goosey go at it on the softball field this summer. She has an intensity on the field that is so fun to watch. She has been slugging away and has loved playing catcher. I love these summer nights where my main job is to sit and cheer her on.  We were so thankful she was on such a great team with some of her close friends. It definitely filled her tank and breathed a little life into her. Way to go, Goosey!

Restoration

I know that I said in my profile that I like all kinds of restoration - making something new again, repairing what seemed to be in ruins. Well, I believe I have discovered in this past month of our adoption adjustment that my heart is not as sturdy as I once believed. I have cried out to God that I am weary and really don't like the restoration process at all. As I have slogged around in the trenches, I have been so grateful for the music of Sandra McCracken.  She has helped me to see through her songs "Halfway" and "Storehouse" that I really don't have what it takes to do this restoration work in our daughter's life - but He does. I hope you'll check out Sandra's free demo.
